Hello, Sabine Patzschke

Welcome to Glottopedia!

How to...

We hope you will enjoy working here. If you need help, just drop me (or another user) a message on the talk page. When you want to start a new article, please make sure that the topic is suitable for Glottopedia. If you have no idea how to write an article you can test the Wiki syntax in our Sandbox. Please read (at least) the first paragraph of our handbook.

When you once finished editing an article, please use the Show preview button at the bottom of the edit window so that you can make sure that your formating and layout works as you want. Try to fill the Summary field whenever you edit a page. That will help others to understand what you have done.

Your Identity

As we do not allow anonymous contributions, we ask you to state on your personal user page at least your full name and your linguistic affiliation.

Please sign all your posts on talk pages by using --~~~~. The four tildes are changed into your personal signature by the software when you save the page.

Welcome again, and have a lot of fun, --Haspelmath 15:51, 12 July 2007 (CEST)

Hello, what are your sources?

Hello Sabine, I saw your recent activity, and it looked to me as if you were pasting dictionary articles from some other digital source. What source was it from? We don't want to risk any copyright troubles here. Please specify the source of your articles when creating them in the Summary field so anybody can see it in the history. Or state it explicitely in the article. For example, Glottopedia articles which were copied from Wikipedia have their own Category:From Wikipedia, like the article about Franz Dornseiff. Actually I want to encourage and ask you to fill in the summary field each time you edit an article. This is very useful information for users browsing the recent changes and proofreading the recent state of articles. --Sven Siegmund 22:15, 12 July 2007 (CEST)

Thanks for the anwer, all the best, --Sven Siegmund 09:21, 23 July 2007 (CEST)
