Though-movement

Though-movement is movement which looks like topicalization but is not, because the preposed phrase is separated from the rest of the sentence by the adverb though.

Example

though-movement derives (i)b from (i)a.

(i) a  Though I think she is pretty, I don't like her.
    b  Pretty though I think she is, I don't like her.

Though-movement is easy to confuse with tough-movement.
