Glottopedia may contain language articles (Category:Single language), an article type that contains information about the name of a language, about the location and the sociolinguistic situation of its speakers, about dialects, its genealogical classification, as well as references. The main types of information are summarized in a box. Articles on higher taxa (language families etc.) are categorized under Category:LANG.

Example articles are Dutch and Khoekhoe.

There is also a list of the 1000 Most widely spoken languages.
