The book series Quantitative Linguistics with its sub-series Glottometrika was founded in the year 1978 by Gabriel Altmann. This series publishes monographs, collections, textbooks, omnibus volumes etc. in English, German, and French: Quantitative Linguistics.

Since 2007, the series is continued exclusively in English with Mouton de Gruyter (Berlin, New York http://www.degruyter.de/) by the editors Reinhard Köhler, Gabriel Altmann and Peter Grzybek.
